We want every client to feel confident engaging Anirban Analytics. Because our services involve custom, time-bound work (Power BI dashboards, Excel automation, and data consulting), refund eligibility depends on the stage a project has reached. This policy outlines exactly what to expect at each stage.
1Before Work Begins
If you cancel a project before any work has started (i.e. before the Discovery call outcome is confirmed and development begins), you are entitled to a full refund, minus any payment gateway processing fees already deducted by Razorpay, Stripe, or the relevant provider.
2Once Work Has Started
Once development work has begun on your project, refund eligibility is prorated based on project progress:
| Project Stage | Refund Eligibility |
|---|---|
| Before work begins | 100% refund (minus gateway fees) |
| Discovery / planning stage only | 75% refund |
| Work in progress (under 50% complete) | 50% refund |
| Work in progress (over 50% complete) | 25% refund |
| Final deliverable already sent | No refund — see Section 3 |
Project completion percentage is determined in good faith based on hours invested and deliverables already produced, and will be communicated transparently if a cancellation request is made.
3After Final Delivery
Because our deliverables are custom digital work (dashboards, workbooks, reports) built specifically to your data and specifications, refunds are not available once the final deliverable has been sent and accepted. This is standard practice across the freelance data consulting industry, as delivered digital work cannot be "returned."
If the final deliverable does not match the agreed scope outlined in your project proposal, this is not treated as a refund request — it is covered under revisions. See Section 4 below.
4Revisions Instead of Refunds
Every package includes a defined number of revision rounds (see your project proposal or the Pricing section for details — 3 rounds for Starter, 5 for Growth, and unlimited within-scope revisions for Pro). If a deliverable does not meet the agreed specifications, please request a revision rather than a refund — this is almost always the faster and more effective path to a satisfactory outcome.
In practice, the vast majority of concerns are resolved through a revision round rather than a cancellation. We encourage clients to communicate specific feedback so adjustments can be made quickly.
5Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:
- The Client fails to provide necessary data, access, or feedback required to complete the project within a reasonable timeframe, resulting in project abandonment
- The Client requests work outside the agreed scope and then cancels due to additional cost, after the original scope was already delivered correctly
- The final deliverable has already been sent and accepted, and no legitimate scope discrepancy exists
- The cancellation request is made after the project's defined revision and support window has closed
6How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
To request a cancellation or refund, email anirban@anirbananalytics.com with your project details and reason for the request. Requests are acknowledged within 24–48 hours, and eligible refunds are processed within 7–10 business days back to the original payment method via Razorpay or Stripe.
7Changes to This Policy
This Refund & Cancellation Policy may be updated periodically. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. The policy in effect at the time your project proposal was confirmed will apply to that specific project.
